I currently live in Dublin, Ireland. Yep, it rains a lot. Nope, absolutely no hope of wearing any kind of summer dress until…fuuuuuu…so until then I just try my lace dresses on in front of my mirror (because, yeah, I’m shallow like that), realise I can’t wear them anywhere else, cry, cry a lot x)
Then I stalk all the cute summer clothes on tumblr, etc (by the way this website is amazing for fashion lovers with specific tastes…and a budget - can’t explain the concept but just give it a shot : www.thehunt.com)
Funny phrase I heard from a friend: ‘I heard summer is gonna be really hot this year. Also, I heard it will be on a Wednesday.’ x)

I don’t know if this song is about drugs, or anorexia, or addiction of any kind. I do know though that the relationship in this song between the one that ‘has to walk’ and the one who ‘goes to the bathroom, say she’ll be right back’ is the most unhealthy but pure, complicated but caring while cruel somehow - I can’t explain it, just listen to it. (‘We might die from medication but we sure killed all the pain’)
Description of a city that makes you feel genuinely lonely in a cold street at night: check.
Dramatic background story of the artist (Conor Oberst) and genuinely touching while seemingly unhealthy relationship described in the song: check.
The incredibely close voice of the singer. Goes right through your ears and to your guts. Vacillating, imperfect, unsure, cruel, giving up (?), mourning…incredible voice.
And, I just. Can’t. Help. It. Man + Guitar = my absolute weakness.
(ps. this song is quite depressing but soothing at the same time. if you’re looking for a happier song or something less tormented, i recommend full-heartedly first day of my life by the same band. it has a way more positive outlook on life…if you exclude the last line of the song.)

A first post is always a little scary. I mean, it gives the direction of the whole blog right ? And you have to make it both witty and deep to give a good idea of how good your blog, your internet home, is going to be right ?
It’s not that serious though. While the first step of a journey is always a little scary, a blog isn’t really a big deal. Or is it ?
